RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA-----------------------On the special request of Swami Vivekananda, the king of Mysore made arrangements for reservation and scholarship for the first time.

Reservation system in India is not a gift of the British. Swami Vivekananda had suggested to the king of Mysore, Chamaraja Wodeyar, to give reservation to the poor and socially-educationally backward people to bring them into the main stream. The incident is that when Swamiji went to the Mysore king, he excitedly told him that we have made arrangements for free education for the poor children in our state. On this, Swamiji said two things. First of all, it is not enough to just make arrangements for free education. Should the poor child first feed himself or get free education? He had to take the school to the poor families. He had to take the education closer to the society. After all, once she is done studying, how will she survive at home? He made arrangements for Okra scholarship. Then, on the insistence of the King of Mysore, Swami Vivekananda, the system of reservation and scholarship was first introduced and inspired by him, the neighbors and the royal family adopted this system for the sake of the children of poor and weak families. Taking advantage of Javana, a girl from a very poor family got education and became famous in the country and the world.

Come, America, three million natives of this rich country live in slums and slums in a state of poverty, separated from the mainstream. Oh, for the sake of mainstream development of all, there is no such disarray now. What about them? Born in many countries of the world. Such a situation is so prevalent in India that the Sanatan tradition here aspires to equality. Similarly, in Sanatani families, when the youth is getting weak, the family is worried about it. But in independent India, this Sanatani tradition of joint family is being ended.
